Reflecting on my Journey with Generative AI

It is hard to believe that as I sit here in Mexico City that it was just a little over a year ago when I began my exploration into the captivating world of Generative AI, ignited by my experiences with Midjourney. A year later and I am in the process of completing the insightful 'Career Essentials in Generative AI' course by Microsoft and LinkedIn over on Linkedin Learning

Reflecting back on the past few months, I recall the engaging research presentation I delivered at Zayed University on the memorable day of February 14th this year. The rapid advancements in AI can sometimes be overwhelming, yet I am confident that my presentation serves as an accessible introduction for those preparing to step into the intriguing world of Generative AI.

Spurred on by the feedback from my ZU research presentation, I have been developing “AI Reflections” a series of concise, digestible Vodcast-style videos, providing an insight into this swiftly growing field. As I start to focus on the upcoming fall semester, I acknowledge that I am about to step into a changed environment, a campus evolving under the influence of AI.

The approach that our education system takes in addressing these changes will be critical as we steadily navigate through this new AI-enhanced landscape.

Buckle up!
