Adobe Day Dubai 2024
On Wednesday, April 24th I took to the main stage at Adobe Day 2024 in Dubai with my Zayed University colleague, Dr James Piecowye. Together we spoke about creativity, how it shifts over time, and why the Adobe ecosystem remains such an important space for making ideas real. Our focus leaned toward Adobe Express because of the way it lowers the barrier to creation. People can move from an initial thought to a finished piece of work without needing heavy software or long learning curves.
To give attendees a hands-on extension of what we discussed, I built a Mission: Possible digital scavenger hunt across the venue. Small QR codes were placed in different corners of the space. When scanned, each one opened a short video with a creative task to be completed inside Adobe Express. Nothing too demanding. Just quick exercises that encouraged people to try things, make choices, and see how fast a simple idea could take shape.
The videos on this page show these fun tasks. You’ll see how what the participants were given as prompts, how the tools were involved in the process, and how a light activity can be used to open the door to a larger conversation about creativity. It was a way of showing, in real time, that the path from concept to output becomes much more open when the tools invite experimentation rather than block it.
